In a virtual ceremony held on Sunday, the Nationals unveiled their 2019 World Series championship ring.
The ring features 30 custom-cut rubies to represent the 30 runs scored by Washington in its four victories. It also has 32 sapphires equal to the Nationals’ total number of the walk-off wins in 2019 , shutout wins , longest winning streak and number of playoff rounds won .
On top of that, there are also 108 diamonds to represent the team’s regular-season and post-season victories , one for the World Series championship and an additional two diamonds to pay tribute to the franchise’s history as the Montreal Expos and the Nationals. The inside of the ring also has an engravement with Baby Shark holding the World Series trophy as Gerardo Parra used the song as his walkup music.
