Vietnamese electric vehicle producer Vinfast picked Nanaimo as the first Canadian delivery spot for its sport utility vehicles.
The Nanaimo Port Authority is now full of vehicles made by a new electric car manufacturer called VinFast.
They arrived in Nanaimo via an unusual cargo ship that caught the attention of local Scott Lang, who snapped some photos of it for social media. Workers unloaded 781 SUVs from VinFast that day, and the final processing for the Canadian market will happen here before the vehicles are sent to dealerships across Canada.has been selling cars and scooters in its own market but now has its sights set on the rest of the world.
