The red Suzuki GSXR street bike was stolen from a carport on Kerr Street, police say.

The red Suzuki GSXR street bike was stolen sometime between 10 p.m. Sunday and 4:30 a.m. Monday from a carport on Kerr Street, said Const. Gary O’Brien.

The owner told police that the motorcycle didn’t have a licence plate because it was off the road for the winter. He had parked it in the back of his carport behind two vehicles. The door to the carport was secured with two zap straps. The straps had been cut and thrown on the ground.Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the motorcycle or knowledge of the theft is asked to contact the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345.
