Nanaimo RCMP are asking the public to keep an eye out for a missing 13-year-old who was last seen on Jan. 9.

Ben Steven was last seen by his family on Jan. 9, and reported missing to Nanaimo RCMP on Jan. 11. Family says his disappearance is out of the ordinary and they are extremely concerned for his safety and well-being.

Nanaimo RCMP’s school liaison unit has been involved in the search to date, but have not had success in locating him. “Investigators want Ben to know that he is not in trouble and that the police, his family and friends are all looking for him because they are all concerned for his safety and want him to return home”, said R/Const. Gary O’Brien of the Nanaimo RCMP.

Steven is described as 5 ft. 5”, slim build, with blonde hair and blue eyes.
