Nadine Dorries had to ask for security after her interview with Kay Burley was interrupted by a man shouting.
‘I’m sorry Kay, the Government… I’m afraid we’re going to have to go now,’ Ms Dorries said, looking worried and touching her earpiece.A man could be heard shouting: ‘Touch me then? You can’t because they’ll have you arrested for assault.’
Ms Dorries said: ‘He’s not touching you,’ to which the man responded: ‘He can’t touch me madam, what do you mean he ain’t touching me?‘He can’t, I’ll have him arrested in five seconds flat.’ The Conservative MP appeared to be looking around for security to intervene, insisting again that ‘the cameraman did not touch him’ before asking if she should move away. The worrying exchange shocked viewers at home who questioned the apparent lack of security around a high-profile minister.
