An 18-year-old new driver was ticketed for excessive speeding Friday night after being clocked going 119 km/h in a 60 km/h zone on Gaglardi Way. His parent's Tesla was impounded.
A Tesla is in car jail this week after its youthful owner was caught driving twice the speed limit up Gaglardi Way in Burnaby.
The vehicle was headed east on Gaglardi near Broadway when police clocked it going 119 km/h in a 60 km/h zone, according to Burnaby RCMP.The Tesla, registered to his parent, was towed and will be impounded for seven days, police said.
