MyNorthwest reports on overnight crime in the Puget Sound region on the morning of June 27: Two separate shootings in Tacoma and a DUI in University Place.

Jun 27, 2022, 9:58 AMJust after 10:30 p.m. Sunday, June 26, Tacoma PD responded to a report that multiple people had been shot in a residence at the 900 block of East 52nd Street.

While searching the property, two more men were found with gunshot wounds, a 38-year-old who was declared dead at the scene, and a 28-year-old man who was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.One man was later detained at Lakewood Hospital. Police say that he had been shot at the residence, but left the scene for medical attention. He is being charged with two counts of assault.

When officers arrived at the scene, a music event hosted at a private venue, they found a large crowd and eight victims with gunshot wounds. Life-saving measures were used on all victims on the scene and were taken to multiple hospitals. All have been reported to be in stable condition.Two people were shot and killed, detectives say, at a dinner party in Bitter Lake at the 900 block of North 145th Street on Saturday.
