My Covid-19 survival story is probably similar to those of a lot of other people who didn't experience the worst of the disease. It was early April when my test -- which I only took after my daughter Kate, a second-year medical school student, diagnosed me in March -- came back positive. At the time, I had body aches and fatigue, the latter of which was particularly acute in the evening and at night.
I had lost much of my appetite but was forcing myself to drink Gatorade. I suddenly began craving bagels and English muffins -- even though I normally refrain from eating those kinds of"bad" carbs. While I had lost much of my taste and smell, I couldn't get enough of English muffins with peanut butter. Charlie DentThankfully, I also had Netflix. And I distracted myself by watching"Tiger King," which I now deeply regret.
