The restaurant, at 636 Cypress Station Drive, recently celebrated its two-year anniversary.from April 2-16, and 10 restaurants in northwest Houston will be participating.the 8th annual event in the Houston regionThroughout the week, you will be able to discover a variety of restaurants from soul food establishments, bakery shops, pizza and more. Below is a list of the participating restaurants in northwest Harris County.

The Greasy Spoon, owned by Max Bozeman. The restaurant, at 636 Cypress Station Drive, recently celebrated its two-year anniversary.The Greasy Spoon is a southern eatery located in Cypress Station. The restaurant serves a variety of southern dishes. It has several locations across Houston with a menu that includes waffles and grits, smothered chopped steak, smothered porkchops and many other southern dishes.

Splendid Life Cake Bar is a dessert shop that specializes in sweet treats. This shop has recipes that go back to 1937 but adds a modern twist. Splendid Life Cake Bar has a long menu of different sweets, including its weekly menu of banana, blueberry, zucchini Elvis and peach cobbler bread. Another treat on the menu is its carrot cake, which is made with carrots, spices and walnuts but also has cream cheese frosting topped with walnut pieces and candied carrots.Submitted by GodFather's Pizza

Godfather’s Pizza is another establishment participating in Black Restaurant Week. This pizza joint has several locations throughout Houston and serves up pizza pies. Godfather’s Pizza has a variety of pizza to choose from and offers a “2 for $28” deal, where you can get two one-topping pizzas. Godfather’s also serves wings, potato wedges desserts and more.
