Connor Booth, left, Tim Hatcher, and Bran MacDonald of Good Dear Good won the first award of the night at the 2024 ECMA awards held at the Delta Prince Edward Convention Centre in Charlottetown on May 2. They won the rock recording of the year category. It was their first time attending the ECMA, and they were thrilled to receive their first award. The award was presented to them by the mayor of Charlottetown, Philip Brown.
KAYO, an artist from Nova Scotia, won his first ever ECMA award in the R&B soul recording of the year category at the 2024 ECMA awards ceremony held at the Delta Prince Edward Convention Centre in Charlottetown on May 2. KAYO said that winning this category was unexpected and it feels amazing. He said he is extremely grateful for the recognition of his efforts, and it's a reaffirmation that his work is being seen, heard, and felt by people.
