Only one of these livestream shows will be happening in front of a live audience of several hundred people, though. That’s the concert by progressive rock band, which will be streaming a show Sunday night from a drive-in in their home state of Arizona.
They instantly sold out the show where they’ll be performing for several hundred socially distanced vehicles that have paid by the vehicle for the privilege of trying out this new gig format. “We’re all very excited to have the chance to do this and kind of be a test subject for how people can still experience concerts right now,” says Spafford’s bassist, Jordan Fairless. “We’re going to try and get as close to the traditional concert experience as we can, while still staying safe.
