A woman has been charged with murder in the fatal shooting Dec. 27 of her neighbor in Antioch.
ANTIOCH — An Antioch woman has been formally charged with murder in the Dec. 27 fatal shooting of her neighbor, prosecutors said.The shooting happened about 2:15 p.m. on Dec. 27 in the 2300 block of Mandarin Way.
The women were next door neighbors and the shooting happened after they got into a verbal and physical argument that ended with Willis being shot in the head, prosecutors said. She was found on a sidewalk and died later at a hospital. Authorities said Justice had armed herself with a gun before the confrontation. Justice was arrested later in the day and the gun recovered, police said.Prosecutors charged Justice with the murder on Dec. 29. She is scheduled to be arraigned Jan. 13 in Martinez. She is being held in lieu of $2 million bail at the Martinez Detention Facility.
