Nearly 140 people killed as death toll climbs after multiple explosions hit churches and hotels in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday

At least 129 people were killed and nearly 500 hospitalized from injuries in near simultaneous blasts that rocked three churches and three hotels in Sri Lanka, the state-run Daily News reported. It's the worst spout of violence in Sri Lanka since the South Asian country's bloody civil war ended a decade ago.Alex Agileson who was in the vicinity said buildings in the surrounding area shook with the blast, according to the Associated Press.A second explosion was reported at St. Sebastian's Church in Negombo, a Catholic majority town north of Colombo.
