Shortly after 5:30 p.m. on Friday, police responded to reports of multiple assaults on Roosevelt Avenue. Two incidents were reported, both involving young people assaulting men. The Criminal Investigation Division is actively investigating these events and has made one arrest so far, with more arrests expected. The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) encourages parents and guardians to discuss these incidents with their children.
Anyone with information is urged to call the RNC directly or report to Crime Stoppers. The RNC maintains a heightened police presence in Mount Pearl to address these incidents
