Mounties tried pulling the driver over, but the vehicle fled after stopping momentarily. In the interest of public safety, officers did no pursuit.Lower Sackville RCMP officers alerted about the incident found the Nissan, which had slowed down, still on Highway 101 heading towards Dartmouth. The driver then ran away from the scene but was caught a short distance away with the help of Halifax Regional Police.
