A motorcycle collision occurred in Lethbridge, resulting in injuries. Police are investigating the incident, which involved a motorcycle overtaking another vehicle and crashing into an SUV.

A motorcycle crash happened in the 4800 block of 24 Avenue South at 8:30 p.m. on Monday, December 23. Police say a motorcycle travelling west on 24 Avenue South hit the driver’s side of an SUV that was making a left turn eastbound onto 24 Avenue. Witnesses also reported the motorcycle operator engaged in a dangerous maneuver as he overtook another vehicle before striking the SUV. The driver of the SUV was subsequently unable to see the motorcycle and could not avoid the collision.

Police say in 2024, there were six fatal collisions in Lethbridge: three motorcycle operators, one pedestrian and two vehicle occupants (one driver and one passenger)
