More than one-third of heat-related deaths caused by global warming, according to a new study.

"People continue to ask for proof that climate change is already affecting our health," said Patz, who wasn't part of the study. "This attribution study directly answers that question using state-of-the-science epidemiological methods, and the amount of data the authors have amassed for analysis is impressive."
But the work indicates the vast reach of effects from climate change, according to senior author Antonio Gasparrini, a professor at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
