More than 700 people were evacuated from their homes in the Russian city of Orsk after a dam burst and caused flooding in riverside villages. The emergency services ministry evacuated 711 people, including 210 children, from the city near Russia's border with Kazakhstan. Video footage showed residents being helped into lifeboats. Thousands of homes were flooded as a result of the incident.
