SHELBURNE COUNTY, NS – Almost half a million dollars in provincial grants has been announced for 10 community projects in Shelburne County.
In addition to this, the Lower Ohio Recreation Centre has received more than $16,000 to provide heat pump installation and an electrical panel upgrade. The Town of Shelburne has received $100,000 for repairs and restorations to the Shelburne Wharf, a principal piece of infrastructure that supports approximately 220 jobs.‘This is a game changer:’ NSCC Shelburne getting marine simulator with navigation capabilitiesThe Shelburne County Arena Association has received $90,000 to insulate the arena roof. This investment will continue to provide a safe and comfortable facility that promotes a variety of recreational activities.
The Cape Sable Historical Society received $19,000 for the installation of a generator to create a comfort centre that will be available during extreme weather events and prolonged power outages.
