HAMMONDS PLAINS, N.S. — IMP Aerospace workers with the Unifor Local 2215 in Hammonds Plains and Enfield have issued a 72-hour strike notice.Unifor National President Lana Payne said that the workers are looking for an agreement that is reflective of the economic times, given the growing cost of living in the region.
“Members were loud and clear that the offer simply didn’t address the affordability crisis we all find ourselves in right now,” added LeBlanc. In a September meeting to cast ballots and seek information on the strike process, 97.6 voted in favour of job action.
