With less than a week to go before the election, 1,435,505 Pennsylvania have registered to vote by mail.The Department of State released the final number of applications WednesdayOf those ballot requests, 984,128 were made by registered Democrats, 302,256 were made by registered Republicans and 149,121 from those supporting other political parties. There were 236,650 requests for absentee ballots and 1,198,855 requests for mail-in ballots.
As of Wednesday, 963,934 mail ballots were received by the Department of State. Of those, 683,329 were from registered Democrats, 197,199 were from registered Republicans and 83,406 from those supporting other political parties. Mail-in and absentee ballots must be returned to their county election offices by 8 p.m. on Nov. 8. Those ballots must be returned by the voter unless it is an emergency ballot or someone with a disability who has designated in writing someone to deliver the vote for them.
Those who applied for mail ballots that do not receive them by Nov. 8 can vote via provisional ballot at their polling place. Or, if they received it and choose to vote in person, they need to bring their ballot to their polling place so it can be voided.A recent claim from The Gateway Pundit stated that around 225,000 new voters were sent ballots before being verified.
