The storm that brought snow squalls, caused dozens of accidents and turned much of Utah white on Monday has moved out of the state, but there are several more headed in to take its place.

Not a lot more valley snow is expected in the next few days,but it’s expected to be very cold as 2021 gives way to 2022.
Monday’s storm dropped 4.5 inches of snow on the Sandy benches, 3.5 inches in East Millcreek, 3.4 inches in Sugar House, 3 inches at the Salt Lake International Airport and in West Jordan, and 2.5 inches in West Valley City. There was considerably more accumulation at Utah’s ski resorts, including 13 inches at Brighton, 10 inches at Alta, 9 inches at Snowbird, 8.5 inches at Solitude, and 6 inches at Park City.
There’s a chance of snow Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in Salt Lake City, but the storms aren’t expected to drop more than a couple of inches of snow in the valleys. The mountains could see a foot or more.
