Although inflation is making things more expensive for everyone, most people say they're still going to travel for Memorial Day this year.
over 1,000 people across the country various question about what they plan on doing for Memorial Day 2023 as well as whether heightened prices would infringe upon them.
While almost 66 percent confirmed that inflation was, indeed, going to impact what they do on some level, about 64 percent claimed they were still going to travel anyway. In fact, The Vacationer survey found that five percent more people intend to travel this upcoming Memorial Day than they were last year.
“More than 61% of American adults say they intend to take some sort of road trip for Memorial Day or Memorial Day Weekend this year,” reads the survey’s corresponding article. “The 61.41% who stated these intentions represent more than 158 million people. “This means nearly 5% more or over 12 million more people intend to take some sort of road trip than last year for Memorial Day. Amazingly, nearly 10%, or approximately 26 million people, say they intend to road trip more than 250 miles from home.”during the holiday, well, the majority of them say they’re looking to go to the beach while others say they’d like to catch some fireworks.
