Ecology Action Centre calls for immediate implementation of Coastal Protection Act | SaltWireThe Halifax Mooseheads and Moncton Wildcats went into the game tied for first place in the Maritimes Division with identical 8-3-0-1 records. With those bragging rights on the line, it's no surprise both teams brought their A game and it took every second of the 60 minutes to settle the matter.
German centre Julius Sumpf scored two goals for the Wildcats and Yoan Loshing, Vincent Collard and Caleb Desnoyers had one each. Brady Schultz, Reece Peitzsche, Yannik Ponzetto and Lou Levesque found the net for the Mooseheads. Ponzetto's goal was his first in the QMJHL. Jack Milner got the start for Halifax after No. 1 goalie Mathis Rousseau was too sick to play. The team called up Sam Madgett to be the backup. Milner finished with 27 saves and Jacob Steinman stopped 42 shots for Moncton.
