The six-foot-one 17-year-old looked athletic and shifty in his first on-ice sessions at the RBC Centre in Dartmouth and he'll be given every opportunity to excel in his first year in the QMJHL. The competition for openings on Halifax's second and third lines is wide open and Ponzetto has the pedigree to nail down one of those spots.
