The Musketeers shook up the Canyon League race with a stunning comeback to beat Newbury Park last week. Their goal remains the same: finish stronger, finish better.

Coach Ryan Huisenga pushes his players to close out drives with urgency during games. Weight room workouts, which started back in December, end with as much intention as when they begin. The coaching staff makes sure players run through individual drills and maintain a high energy level at practices.
The team has bought in and is out to a 6-0 overall start and a 2-0 Canyon League record, which includes a comeback with over Newbury Park and its high-powered offense led by quarterback Brady Smigiel, a four-star recruit, last week. The defense sacked Smigiel four times over the course of the game. Linebacker Jovany Amezcua was responsible for two of the sacks.
Cochran, a senior, scored two rushing touchdowns against Newbury Park and ran for 114 yards on 21 carries. He also hauled in two passes from quarterback Elijah Hensley for 101 yards receiving and a touchdown, further demonstrating his value as a do-it-all running back.
