The Montana State Library Commission says it cannot associate with the American Library Association's self-described 'Marxist lesbian' president, Emily Drabinski.

CBS News' Martha Teichner sat down with public library leaders as well as the co-founders of Moms for Liberty during a segment on book bans across the U.S.Library Commission voted Tuesday to withdraw from the American Library Association because of its self-described"Marxist lesbian" president.

In a 5-1 vote, with one member abstaining, the commission voted to immediately separate from the national library group, which in April elected a self-described socialist to lead the organization. ALA President Emily Drabinski, a socialist, prompted the Montana State Library Commission to leave the national group.

After her election in April, Drabinski celebrated in a since-deleted tweet that she"just cannot believe that a Marxist lesbian who believes that collective power is possible to build and can be wielded for a better world is president elect of ALA. I am so excited for what we will do together. Solidarity. And my mom is so proud. I love you mom."
