June is off to a huge start when looking at the boy bands that dominate the South Korean music industry, as one highly-anticipated project has already been released and there’s plenty more on the way.
In fact, while just five titles are noted below, there are several other studio efforts coming from major players in the K-pop field, with all-male acts like N.Flying and Ghost9 also dropping what will surely be successful collections as summer begins as well!Released the first day of the month,is Monsta X’s ninth EP and their first Korean-language release since last November. The short project was fronted by the lead single “Gambler,” which hasn’t yet had a chance to chart all around the world.
So far, all of the band’s EPs have broken into the top five on the Gaon Albums chart in their home country of South Korea, and there’s no reason to believe this latest project won’t also become a sales success. It’s been almost four years since EXO released an EP, though that doesn’t mean they’ve been quiet during that time. In fact, in between relatively short sets, the band has doled out complete albums and several live recordings.
