Monkeypox has been circulating in many countries around the globe since May, in regions where the virus is rarely seen
It can present as flu-like symptoms within a few days or weeks and often leads to lesions or rash several weeks after exposure. Symptoms are usually mild and treatment isn’t necessary unless they become more serious. The recommendation is isolation until all symptoms and lesions are gone.
