Modu Three Brothers serves a wide selection of Chinese dishes. Light snacks, such as skewers, sausages and rice bowls, make up the bulk of their menu. That said, the restaurant is most famous for its noodles.
Not only do they carry a variety of different flavours, they also offer free refills on select dishes. Many of these dishes can also be ordered as combos, which come with a side and a drink. As a result, you can easily eat a full meal for under twenty dollars. One of Modu Three Brothers' most popular items is the aptly named Signature Freshly Boiled Chicken Soup with Rice Noodles . Served in an enormous metal pot, this dish comes to the table piping hot and is every bit as wholesome and nourishing as you'd expect it to be. The Classic Pork with Meat Sauce and Sweet Potato Noodles is a colourful dish that combines soft noodles and savoury pork in a flavourful broth. Though the spicy meat sauce does most of the heavy lifting, chives, onions and yellow beans help to give it a more balanced flavour. Chongqing Lamb Skewers are lightly fried and seasoned with cumin and chili powder. Their pleasantly spicy flavour and crispy consistency makes them the perfect counterpoint to the filling noodle dishes. Chicken Tenderloin Skewers are just as tasty, thanks to a winning combination of tender chicken and fragrant spices. While the Fired Squid Kabobs may be seasoned with the same types of spices as the previous two skewers, their distinctive shape and chewy consistency help them stand out from the others.The Chongqing Fried Pork is equally crunchy, though this texture comes from a thin layer of batter rather than a snappy sausage casing. Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken is a popular street food, consisting of bite-sized pieces of chicken coated in flour and fried to a golden brown. Salt and pepper are added to give the dish a stronger flavour, while spicy mayo is served on the side to enhance it even further. One of my favourite dishes was the Signature Stir Fried Pork with Green Peppers . This classic combination of meat and vegetables is borderline addictive and will definitely appeal to diners with a high spice tolerance. Osmanthus Brew is a sweet-smelling drink with a mildly floral flavour profile. Its most distinctive characteristic is a layer of chewy rice along the bottom of the cup, which absorbs the drink’s flavour and gives it a unique texture.Though slightly stronger than the average lemonade, this tangy drink will still satisfy your cravings for a refreshing summer beverage, especially when paired with savoury noodles or spicy kabobs.
