The city of Mobile has launched a new mode of transportation that’s a little more convenient and less time consuming.
) - Say goodbye to waking up hours in advance to catch multiple buses to work. “To ride a bus three hours to get to work and three hours to get home – that’s not a very service-friendly way to make it happen,” said Mayor Sandy Stimpson. “Our hope is that MoGo as a pilot program will show a different way to do it other than just our normal transportation.”
Similar to other popular ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft, MoGo Rideshare provides an alternative for locals. Trips to and from major employment and training hubs such as the AIDT training center, AUSTAL USA, and FlightPath9 are entirely free of charge. For other destinations, the cost is $1.25 per trip.
