The Membertou-based Lynx were downed 5-1 and 3-1 by the Western Flames of Fredericton at the Membertou Sport and Wellness Centre on Saturday and Sunday. On Sunday, Isabelle Michaud had a four-point game, which included a hat trick, to lead the Flames to a 5-1 win.Ryelyn Gabriel had the lone goal for the Lynx .On Saturday, Anna Lawand had the only goal for Cape Breton in the 3-1 loss.Western's Emma Brewer made 14 saves. Cape Breton's Elsa Cameron stopped 21 of 24 shots.
Cape Breton will be on the road this weekend for a pair of games against the Edza East Moncton Subaru Rockets. The teams meet on Saturday at 4:10 p.m. and Sunday at 10:20 a.m. at the J.K. Irving Centre in Bouctouche.
