Edmonton MLA Rakhi Pancholi launched her bid for the leadership of the Alberta NDP on Thursday.

"I'm interested in working together to do the hard work, the important work of putting forward a vision that is thoughtful and optimistic for all Albertans. He said her description of Alberta "was the kind of province and the kind of promise that felt like Alberta." NDP leadership candidate Naheed Nenshi spoke to reporters during a visit to the Alberta legislature earlier this month. "I'm delighted to see that our party has grown to the point that we have two very competitive campaigns down here in Calgary," Ganley said.
Calahoo-Stonehouse congratulated Pancholi on running a great campaign and said she will be missed. She said the number of new members signing up is great as it is critical to grow the Alberta NDP.
