While the idea of mismatched styles sounds intimidating, there is of a method to this getting-dressed madness. We noticed that the street style crowd made sure the prints were at least a little bit cohesive, like pairing two pieces in different colors, but both boasting the same print , or teaming similar-but-not-the-same checkerboard prints. We first spotted this trend at Tokyo Fashion Week back in March, so it was only a matter of time until it trickled on over to New York City.
