.GovParsonMO signed a law on Wednesday banning gender-transitioning procedures for minors & for adults in the state correction system. 'These decisions have permanent consequences for life and should not be made by impressionable children,' Parson said.
The legislation also stipulates that gender transition surgery, puberty blockers, or cross-sex hormones will not be provided by healthcare services in state prisons, jails, or correctional centers.
Parson also signed a bill that requires all schools to separate sports based upon the biological distinction of male and female, threatening to remove state financial support if individual institutions do not comply.The House Democrats sharply condemned Parson for signing both measures,“The governor had a chance to protect innocent families who are just trying to live their lives in peace. Instead, he chose to persecute them,” said House Minority Leader Crystal Quade on Twitter.
