A Mississauga man is facing serious charges after allegedly shooting another person during a neighbourhood dispute. Police seized numerous firearms and ammunition during a search of the suspect's home.
A 62-year-old Mississauga man named Richard Loo is facing 10 charges, including attempted murder and aggravated assault , following an alleged shooting incident stemming from a neighbourhood dispute. The altercation took place on January 24th near the intersection of Rathburn Road West and Perivale Road, located south of Highway 403 and west of Mavis Road. According to Peel Regional Police (PRP), the dispute escalated into a physical confrontation where one individual was shot.
The following day, on January 25th, PRP executed a search warrant at Loo's residence, uncovering a significant cache of weapons. The seizure included numerous firearms, thousands of rounds of ammunition, and other unspecified weapons. Following the discovery, Loo was taken into custody and subsequently charged with ten offences. He remains in police custody pending a bail hearing scheduled at a Brampton court.
