RCMP have recovered the body of a 26-year-old man from the waters offshore in Cowichan Bay, and are still investigating the man's death, according to a statement on Friday.

On Thursday, a multi-disciplinary search was deployed which included community areas and shoreline searches conducted by RCMP police dog services and members of the North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP – as well as an offshore water search in Cowichan Bay conducted by the RCMP West Coast Marine Unit, with assistance from RCMP helicopter and Marine Search and Rescue.“Those joint efforts led to the discovery of the missing person at around 12:30 p.m. that day,” said Cpl.
