Roenz and her 17-year-old son, Tyler, were reported missing in Harris County on Thursday. The two had last been seen at 11:40 a.m. Thursday in the 14700 block of Birch Arbor Court in Humble, according to Houston police.
Michelle Roenz, 49, and Tyler Roenz, 17, were last seen at 11:40 a.m. Thursday on the 14700 block of Birch Arbor Court in Humble, Texas, according to officials.encountered Tyler, who was driving a black 2011 Mazda, during an attempted traffic stop on Interstate 80 near Grand Island Friday. Tyler fled the scene but was caught by authorities near Aurora, Nebraska after he crashed the Mazda.
When authorities opened the Mazda's trunk, Roenz's body was found, Nebraska State Patrol said in a news release Saturday. Tyler remains in a Nebraska hospital being treated for injuries he sustained after the crash, according to the release. "The Nebraska State Patrol is coordinating with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office of Texas for extradition of the minor once he is released from the hospital," the release said.
