Minors: Padres set minor league coaching staffs for 2023

Phillip Wellman will move from Double-A San Antonio to the Pacific Coast League as the Padres on Wednesday announced their minor league coaching staffs.

Wellman’s staff will be rounded out by pitching coach Scott Mitchell, assistant pitching coach Jimmy Jones, hitting coach Raul Padron and bench coach Brian Esposito. Jonathan Mathews will manage the Padres’ high-Single-A affiliate in Fort Wayne, while former pitching coach Pete Zamora will manage low Single-A Lake Elsinore.
