Public invited to Branch 76 Remembrance Day ceremony at 1 p.m. on Nov. 11
The Dr. Fred Starr Branch 76 of the Royal Canadian Legion invites Sudburians to join its members for a Remembrance Day ceremony on Nov. 11 at 1 p.m.
The ceremony and wreath laying will be held at the branch cenotaph. The Legion branch is located at 1553 Weller St. in Minnow Lake. “Every year, Canadians take the time to remember those who paid the supreme sacrifice,” the branch told Sudbury.com. “We remember those who are not with us today, those deployed far from family and friends. So many families changed forever. On this day, veterans past and present are honoured for defending our Canadian way of life.”
A light lunch and refreshments will be served after the service. Those who wish to attend the ceremony are asked to arrive by 12:45 p.m.
