Projected Path and Current Storm InformationTropical Storm Mindy has formed in the Gulf of Mexico and will move ashore in the Florida Panhandle tonight.
A tropical storm warning has been issued for the Florida Gulf coast from Mexico Beach to Steinhatchee. This means tropical storm conditions are expected in these areas, in this case, within the next 6 to 12 hours. While tropical storm force winds are possible near the coast, the main threat with this system is locally heavy rain in parts of northern Florida, south Georgia and southern South Carolina through Thursday that could lead to local flash flooding.
