William Pinkin, 56, is accused of shooting Isaiah Allen, 29, in the back of the head after Allen took a box of Little Debbie snack cakes and walked out of a store without paying.
that surveillance video shows Pinkin was sitting on a stool toward the back of the store when Allen took the snack cakes. Pinkin reportedly gets up from the stool and rushes out to follow Allen, then shoots Allen just outside the store.
Pinkin waited at the store for police to arrive and initially told investigators that he did not see who shot Allen, CBS 58 reports. He was arrested two days later.that court records show Pinkin was convicted of killing a store clerk during a robbery in 1989. He had been released from prison in March, the Journal Sentinel reports.
The Journal Sentinel reports Allen was the father of two children, ages Allen, ages 3 and 9. His father said Allen did have mental-health issues and was going to check into a drug rehabilitation center.
