Mike Sorrentino -- known as 'The Situation' on 'Jersey Shore' -- is heading home after eight months behind bars.
. Aside from his prison sentence, Mike will also have to pay $10,000 in fines and perform 500 hours of community service -- so his restitution is far from over. As 'E! News' reported, Mike was released from prison Thursday morning with wife Lauren by his side.
"We are elated to finally close this chapter of our life," Mike said in a statement to the outlet."Thank you to our family, friends and fans for the continuous love and support during this time, it brought us so much peace and comfort. We look forward to continuing our life as husband and wife and working on baby Situations! We truly believe that the comeback is ALWAYS greater than the setback and we can't wait to show the world ours.
