Mike Huckabee suggested Angela Merkel was a Nazi sympathizer and his mentions are still recovering

She has pursued reconciliation for Germany's past aggression, and Germany has been a long-standing ally of the U.S. since the end of the war.

Early Thursday, Arkansas's former governor did tweet that he and his wife had the privilege of participating in a flag lowering ceremony in Normandy a few years prior.
