The former first lady posted an Instagram pic showing her hitting the gym — and hoisting some weights— in a sports bra and leggings.
In a new Instagram photo posted for “Self-Care Sunday,” the 55-year-old former first lady hoists a large medicine ball over her head while baring her abs in a black sports bra and matching leggings. According to the caption, the fitness-conscious mom of two is all about that “no pain, no gain” mentality.
“It doesn’t always feel good in the moment,” she said of her workout. “But after the fact, I’m always glad I hit the gym.”“Come through queen,” read one comment.“So proud of you Michelle,” another fan wrote. “I’m going to plank because of this post.” Others hailed her as an “inspirational goddess” — though many also joked that unlike the former FLOTUS, they spent their ‘Self-Care Sunday” sleeping in.
In her memoir Becoming, Obama credited her regular workouts with helping her maintain a healthy work-life balance as a working mom.Follow us on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter for nonstop inspiration delivered fresh to your feed, every day.
