A woman said that Irvin acted inappropriately toward here in a hotel lobby heading into Super Bowl week. Irvin denied that allegation and said his encounter was cordial and lasted about a minute before he headed up to his room alone. Still, he was pulled from coverage of the big game.During Wednesday’s press conference, Irvin’s lawyer, Levi McCathern, said he viewed video of his client’s interaction with a woman and he called the allegations “nonsense.
McCathern said the meeting occurred just behind a pillar inside the hotel, but that Irvin can be seen shaking the woman’s hand. The attorney said Irvin touched the woman’s elbow twice while speaking to her and then shook her hand as he left.Irvin also had two men, who said they witnessed the incident, appear via Zoom. Those men said they saw the interaction, that it was brief, and seemed friendly.
