The Oscar winner was photographed hitting the beach on Sunday after undergoing major spinal surgery last year.
His wife, Shakira Caine, joined him at the beach.Shakira, who has been married to the Oscar winner for 50 years, stunned in a black swimsuit.“Funnily enough, it has turned out to be my last part, really,” he told BBC Radio’s “Kermode and Mayo’s Film Review,” noting that he had not worked “for two years” due to his “spine problem.”
“There haven’t been any offers, obviously, for two years because nobody’s been making any movies that I wanna do, but also I’m 88,” Michael added at the time. “There’s not exactly scripts pouring out with a leading man who’s 88, you know?”Yet soon after, the legendary movie star teased the possibility of making a return to the big screen, telling Variety he was “reviewing two scripts.”
“Regarding retirement, I’ve spent over 50 years getting up at 6 a.m. to make movies, and I’m not getting rid of my alarm clock!” he joked. In fact, it appears Michael may be reprising his role as Arthur Tressler in “Now You See Me 3,” which is currently in pre-production stages.
