The largest sedan in MG's range will debut on August 17 in China fitted with a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine
. Of course, the MG7 is expected to be considerably cheaper than those models. Unfortunately, we don’t have pictures of the interior yet, but we expect a digital dashboard and premium upholstery.
In the teasers published on Weibo, MG didn’t reveal many details about the model but confirmed it would be available with a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine. As reported by, the pictured 405 VTGI Trophy variant will produce 254 hp and 405 Nm of torque, with the 2.0-liter engine mated to a nine-speed ZF automatic. There will also be a lesser 300 VTGI variant with a turbocharged 1.5-liter engine from theproducing 183 hp and 300 Nm of torque, mated to a seven-speed DCT auto.
