“No matter how we do, we're already a part of history,” says Maria Fassi, one of the two Mexican golfers in the first-ever Augusta National Women’s Amateur tournament. NBCLatino

“There's nothing I love more than representing Mexico and the Latino community, especially in golf where there's not many Latinos out there,” said Fassi. “No matter how we do, we're already a part of history… Of course, we all want to win and do our best, but it's just an exciting thing to be a part of.”

“One of the most important aspects of the game is just our mental side,” said Fassi. “I've been doing not so good in my life outside the golf course and I've seen how it impacts me on the golf course. So, it's a nice challenge that you have to keep everything in line to be able to be successful.”
