Low prices for corn and wheat crops spark three-day blockade by farmers, creating havoc and cancelled flights at Culiacan airport in Mexico
Farmers have taken over the airport in the northern Mexico City of Culiacan to protest low prices for their corn and wheat crops.
President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said Thursday he won’t intervene in the dispute, which has prevented flights from taking off or landing since Tuesday. That may anger travellers in Sinaloa, but it did not have the effect that comments the Sinaloa Governor had a day earlier.
